Miranda is a stop-motion animator and fabricator based in Baltimore and Puebla City. Pursuing her bachelor's degree in Animation and Humanistic Studies,2026, in Maryland Institute College of Art.

 

Her work revolves around making delicate objects strong rather than fragile. Using nostalgic motifs through her work to create surrealist narratives and puppets.

  • Fabrication: Skilled with a wide range of materials like silicone, fibers, wood, and plaster.

  • Sculpting: Skilled in hand built and wheel thrown ceramics and detailed sculpts with a variety of clays.

  • Stop-motion animation: Experienced with character and experimental animation.

  • Fibers: Experienced with machine sewing and pattering, knitting, and needle felting.

Notable Projects

  • "Sobre el Mar", On Going: Directed, Fabricated and Animated a collaborative live action and stop-motion short film using 3d Printed replacement faces, Ball and socket armature, silicone casting, ceramic and sculpture techniques. 

  • "Get well soon", 2025:  Created a collaborative stop-motion film alongside a team of three that featured replacement faces, full body silicone casting and animating with a motion control rig. In charge of creating puppets from the original concept art as well as creating practical effects with fabrication techniques.​​

  • "Frankenstein laboratory", 2024: Collaborated for the construction and animation a 26 X 34 in base that featured 3D printed molds and props, as well as a full body silicone cast.

  • "Cosmic​ Rays", 2024: Directed and animated a mix-media animation for the NASA Godart Center working for NASA scientist to showcase their research in a 4-minute short-film.

  • "Day of the dead", 2023: Directed, animated and fabricated puppets and props for the short-film.
